Surfing is what I know and what I love. With seven years of experience, I have become very knowledgeable in surfing techniques and reading the ocean. It has become my passion to share with others this knowledge of surfing and the ocean that we all love and share.

Private Lessons
Private lessons offer a unique 1 on 1 experience with your instructor. Surf technique will be customized to fit your unique needs. Class will cover reading the ocean, parts of the board, stand up techniques, surfing safety and hands on practice.
Basic Beginner Lesson : $30* ( 1 hour and 30 minutes)
All Day Beginner Package : $ 70 ( 10:30am - 5:30pm )

Group Lessons
Group lessons can be a great way to learn how to surf and create lasting memories with friends and family. Surf lessons are longer than private ensuring that every person in the group gets the necessary attention they need. Group sessions can be customized to the exact desires and needs of all members of the group.
Small Group ( 5 ppl) : $200 ( 3 hours )
Large Group ( 10 ppl) : $380 ( 4 hours )
Intermediate/ Advanced Lessons
Want to harness your surf skills and increase performance? Intermediate or advanced lessons will help you expand your surf knowledge and help you discover your own personal style. Skills learned include surf etiquette, wave selection, speed and power and maneuvers.
Intermediate Lesson: $50 ( 2 hours )
Advanced Lesson : $55 ( 2.5 hours )

What to expect during a surf lesson
You will first meet at the shop where you will be matched with a board that fits your size and skill level.
From then, your transportation will drive you through Nicaraguan backroads to your destination beach ranging from 20 minutes to 55 minutes. After your arrival , Ariel will guide you on where you can store your belongings safely. After sunscreen is applied and swimsuits are on, it will be time to take the board to the beach!
Your lesson will begin on land with an introduction to the ocean first. Ariel will discuss the ocean conditions, the swell, the current and other precautions of the beach. From then, you will discuss every aspect of surf from the parts of the board, proper pop up techniques, reading the waves and being safe with your board.
After thorough explanation, demonstration and practice on land, it will be your turn to put your new knowledge to use on the waves! With encouragement, guidance and simple straightforward explanations, Ariel will make it very possible for you to catch your first of many waves.
You will be able to use the board for the rest of the day to continue your practice. You can coordinate the best time for you to return back to San Juan on the shuttle (typically around 5:30pm to be able to enjoy the sunset before returning )

Sunscreen Lotion
Swimsuit
Shorts for surfing
Flip Flops or Sandals
Towel and Change of Clothes
Camera ( Get some photos in and out of the water! )
Do I need to be at a certain athletic level or swimming level?
All athletic levels are welcome to lessons with Ariel. Ariel will customize your lesson to ensure you feel comfortable and find success during your class. Weak swimmers will be kept in shallow waters to ensure safety.
